PCYC at Morisset is the newest place for TEEN Art

This is a great initiative that should be supported.

The organizers want to in particular, encourage girls
to try sports, and at the same time encourage our teenage boys to try their hand at Art.....

Let your kids know and tell them to tell their mates to
give it a try and if nothing else it will give them a Friday night out once a month and perhaps they will make some new friends

What's Happening at Yara Balba Art Workshops

Here is the information I promised you about the upcoming workshop at Yarra Balba, Mandalong for your information.  Below is a copy of the email that Margarete Erling forwarded to us with the program attached.

Hello artists!

As promised, here is Term Four's Program at Yara Balba Art Studio until the end of the year. This term includes some extension activities such as clay modelling and plaster casting (to make small sculptures), candle- making, mosaic making and for the first time, wearable art. As these activities have a higher consumables cost, there is an additional small fee to cover the costs of materials you use for each of these workshops.

Full Term Bookings receive a discount, with the first three weeks free from consumables costs. Casual bookings are $25 /session plus materials fee (as shown on the attached program).

This should be an exciting program, full of new adventures and discoveries!
People are beginning to book in, so be sure to register your attendance to avoid disappointment. As always, numbers are limited.

Remember too, that all the art materials you could dream of, are available to order for purchase from Lakes Online Art Supplies- with Robyn Croft.  www.LakesArt.com.au

I hope to see you again soon, at Yara Balba Art Studio!

Religion in Art

Hi this is a great concept I came across this morning "spiritual art".  I love the abstract qualities of this artist.

The Journey of a thousand step, start with the first....

Hi and welcome to LakesArt blog.  I hope this will be a forum for all those students, beginners and lovers of art to put pen to paper (so to speak) and have a word or two about what they are up to and what they need from an art supply business.   I am a new player in this market, but one with great enthusiasm. I want to help others get the most out of their Art journey.  So please feel free to sign up and hopefully we can become a kind of Art family right here on my site.

Look out for:

  • Term Four of the Art Workshop at Yara Balba Art Studio, at Mandalong (this will be my next blog)
  • Drawing Tutorials
  • "The Art Experiment"
  • Show us your Art

I have over the last few month found some really unique Webb sites and videos that I will share with you, please feel free to share some with me and the others that will read this blog.
